translation certification

We are able to offer the following translation certifications.

At ASK Translation we can offer a range of translation certification services. The most popular of these is our in-house validation service, where for the nominal sum of £20 a senior member of the ASK Translations team provides a certified translation. Alternatively we are happy to provide a certified translation by the individual translator that has undertaken the project. Also a legal translation can be certified if an affidavit or notarisation is required.

Translation certification may be required for a range of documents such as marriage certificates, birth certificate translation, paperwork for overseas properties or Court and legal documents. We also recommend checking with the requesting body if a certified translation is required.

If a certified translation is required just send us a copy of the item for translation (please do not send the original), tell us target language, and tell us which language the translation certification needs to be in. We will confirm if this falls within the pricing brackets quoted below, and if not we will supply a quotation. If you are happy to proceed all you need to do is give us a call with prepayment details (preferably by card, however we can accept cheque, bacs or PayPal – however this may delay the project) and confirm the delivery address. Alternatively you can send an email and we will give you a call back.

Turnaround time is normally 1 to 2 working days at which time the translation and certification are posted by 1st class post. However we can offer an “urgency” option for which we can send the documents guaranteed next day delivery by 9am or 1pm, or Saturday delivery (this is only possible on small amounts of text requiring translation and certification, please ask for details).

Translation and certification prices into and out of English:

French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese– up to approximately 300 words – certified by ASK (not translator) and standard turnaround time: £65 + VAT.

The following languages are normally based on the number of target English words.

Dutch, Danish, Flemish, Swedish, Norwegian - up to approximately 300 words – certified by ASK (not translator) and standard turnaround time: £70 + VAT.

Polish, Turkish, Slovak, Lithuanian, Russian (Eastern European languages) - up to approximately 300 words – certified by ASK (not translator) and standard turnaround time: £75 + VAT.

Arabic, Farsi, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Urdu – up to approximately 300 words – certified by ASK (not translator) and standard turnaround time: £80 + VAT.

If 9am next day delivery is required there is a £12.50 surcharge or postage at cost (postage may come in slightly lower, however it can also be much higher).
If wanted by 1pm next day delivery there is a £5.50 surcharge or postage at cost (postage may come in slightly lower, however it can also be much higher).
