At ASK Translation we are constantly on the lookout for high quality
translators to join our team on a freelance basis.
If you are a highly qualified freelance translator
or a trade translation agency with a proven track record in your field, and share our commitment
to quality, service and long-term partnerships, please register on our new translation management system.
Our Freelance Translator and Agency area will :
- Send out supplier project notifications to matching translators
- Allow freelance translators and agencies to sign in, search for, and apply for translation projects from ASK Translation and other Translation Agencies
- Freelance Translators and Agency administrators will be able to sign in to accept, collect and deliver jobs online
- The system will send job reminders
- You will once the job is completed you will be able to enter your invoice details online directly into ASK’s accounts system
- You will be able to track your payments
- Translators will be able to register and upload CVs and amend their details, language combinations, specialisms and rates
- There will be a short online translation test in 14 different specialism groups for translators who register with us so we and other Translation Companies who use the system will know your standard
- ASK will only use existing approved translators, or translators who pass this short test, but the test does not need to be taken until we decide to use you and it does not stop you from applying for translation projects you are qualified for.
- Each translation job you perform will be graded.
It is hoped this System will become the leading translation management system in the marketplace and will be marketed by ourselves to the international translation community after full testing.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When Registering as a Freelance Translator :
- If you register as a Freelancer you will need to select your mother tongue language
- You will only be able to select a maximum of 20 specialisms
- You will only be able to register for translating up to 8 languages INTO your mother tongue language
- So if you are truly bi-lingual and translate both into and out of a language combination (eg. a dual Welsh/English mother tongue person living in Wales) - please register as an Agency/Company (see below) rather than a freelancer
- If you genuinely specialise in more areas than the system allows please register as a company and add yourself twice as a translation provider linked to that company
IMPORTANT NOTE: When Registering as a Translation Agency :
- Each of your translation providers will need to be added
- You will need to select their mother tongue language
- We will not hold their contact details, just their qualifications, age, language combinations and specialisms
- For each translation provider you will only be able to select a maximum of 20 specialisms they translate
- For each translation provider you will only be able to register for translating a maximum of 8 languages INTO their mother tongue language and up to 20 specialisms
- The available project notifications for all your providers will come to you or the company administrator you set on the system
