To translate and typeset a dual language picture book aimed at children. We were asked to translate into Turkish, Somali, Chinese, Czech, Portuguese and Croatian.

the challenge

In order to meet Soma Books' quality expectations and produce translations suitable for the target audience, it was necessary to call upon specialist translators familiar with children's books.

The ASK Group was required to supply the translations back in their original layout. For this particular project our graphic design studio completed the typesetting stage using PageMaker 7, as requested by Soma Books.

ASK has been dealing with the translations and typesetting of children's books for many years enabling us to have a complete understanding of Soma books requirements

A quick turnaround time and accuracy of the translations, coupled with our experienced Desk Top Publishing operators and Project Manager always being on hand to advise the client were key factors in the successful achievement of this project.
